The Consultation
When you reach out, I prioritize creating a personalized experience from the very start. We’ll schedule an initial meeting—whether over coffee or a video chat—to dive into your story as a couple and discuss your vision for your wedding day.
Planning
I understand the demands of planning a wedding and am here to offer support at every step. Before the big day, we’ll hold a dedicated planning session to ensure every special moment and detail is thoughtfully anticipated, along with any unique ideas you’d love to bring to life. If an idea or inspiration strikes, simply email me, and I’ll be quick to respond to even the smallest details. For more in-depth discussions, I’m always available for additional phone calls or meetings at your convenience.
Your Wedding Day
On your wedding day, I show up fully prepared and ready to seamlessly capture every moment. Because we’ve already built a connection, you won’t have to worry about stiff poses or feeling awkward. Instead, you’ll feel comfortable with me, allowing the moments to unfold organically, creating photographs that feel effortless, elegant, and true to who you are as a couple. Together, we’ll craft a visual story that reflects the depth of your love and the joy of your day—images that will not only stand the test of time but will also always remind you of how you felt in the moment. The result will be a collection of timeless, heartfelt memories that celebrate the uniqueness of your bond.
Gallery Delivery
You will receive a gallery of your final images from me electronically no more than 8-10 weeks after the date of the wedding. If you purchase a wedding package with a wedding album included, or choose to add one later, we will set up a time to meet in person or over video chat to design your album! I will come to that meeting with a preliminary design, and welcome revisions at that meeting, and an additional meeting if needed (additional fees may apply after this second meeting). Getting to a design that you love is a priority to me, because this album will be a forever reminder of your special day.
The Investment
Couples typically invest around $4,000 in their wedding photography package with me. Why Miranda Joly Photography?
Beyond my education and experience, weddings and love stories are my passion. The mission of my photography is to capture the essence of you as a couple through the images I capture. Whatever you need while planning, including last minute things the day of your wedding, I’m excited for all of it! I want to work with you to make sure you have every memory captured. I would be honored to be considered as the photographer you trust to capture one of the most important events of your lifetime
Do you work with a second photographer?
Some of my wedding packages include a second shooter, while others do not—but it's always an option to add one for an additional fee. If you'd like to capture both the bride and groom getting ready, for instance, I highly recommend adding a second shooter to ensure we don't miss any of those special moments.
How far out do we need to book?
As soon as you have your wedding date and venue confirmed, it's a good idea to start reaching out to potential photographers. The earlier, the better—it's always wise to inquire sooner rather than later to ensure availability and secure your photographer of choice.
Do you travel?
I'm based in Clarkston, Michigan, and I'm happy to serve couples all across the state—and beyond. Whether you're planning your wedding in Michigan or further afield, I'm excited to be there to document your day. For weddings outside of a one-hour radius from Clarkston, a travel fee will apply to cover transportation and additional time. Feel free to reach out, and we can chat about the details to make sure everything is seamless on your big day.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely, we offer flexible payment plans to make the investment in your wedding photography as seamless as possible. Whether during our initial consultation or as part of the booking process, we’ll tailor a plan that suits your preferences and timeline. My goal is to ensure that this process is not only stress-free, but also aligns perfectly with your vision, making every step of our collaboration effortless and enjoyable.
Can you hold our wedding date for us?
If you think we make a good match, your wedding date will be reserved once I receive one-fourth of your final payment (also known as your retainer fee) and a signed contract.
